MY STORY
Born and raised in Virginia, I developed a passion for art from a very young age. My mom, who studied art and worked as an interior designer, valued the importance of art education and enrolled me in several art enrichment programs. I continued with art classes through Hollins University, where I found my love of painting. I spent days standing at the tops of rolling hills around the campus with just my paints and an easel. I distinctly remember one crisp, spring day, while painting the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, a feeling of serenity and bliss completely overtook me. As I stood looking out at the beautiful valley, I knew I had found my purpose. My paintings are a reflection of the beauty I see in the world around me. I strive for impressionistic abstraction in the most painterly way, paying attention to aesthetically pleasing color choices, while finding inspiration in my surrounding environment.
